Editorial Photography in Ireland

As editorial portraits are one of the mainstays of my business, I thought that it might be interesting to examine some of the areas in which I produce editorial work. To begin, here are some of the political portraits that I have produced during the past few months.

Frances Fitzgerald, TD. Minister for Justice and Equality pictured with Máire Whelan SC. Attorney General, at the Kings Inns, for the Bar Council.

Micheál Martin, TD. Leader of Fianna Fáil, was photographed for Eolas magazine at his parliamentary office.

Paschal Donohoe, TD. Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport, was photographed speaking at the Transport Ireland Conference in Dublin.

Alex White, TD. Minister for Communications, Energy and Natural Resources, was photographed at the Irish Renewable Energy Summit for Energy Ireland.

Professional business portraits in Ireland

I was commissioned to produce a series of corporate portraits for Mobile Aware, which would be of a similar style to those they had produced for their US office. MobileAware is the world's leading provider of on-device CRM solutions for mobile network operators and their Irish HQ is located in Dublin’s Digital Hub.

Personal Project - Coast

These are some of the latest images from my “Coast” project. Coast, is a personal environmental photographic project, which aims to look objectively at how the sea interacts with man made structures. More of the images can be viewed here.

Corporate and industrial photography in Dublin

Corporate and industrial photography may not sound like the most glamorous of jobs, but it is one of the most interesting. Producing reliable commercial images for editorial, PR and Annual reports, quickly and efficiently is the most valuable skill, that I have learned. And hard hats, safety shoes and hi-vis jackets become vital parts of the photographer's kit.

I was delighted at the way that Estates Gazette used my images, from their Question Time event in Dublin, in their April 4th issue.

Event Photographer Dublin

Earlier this month, I photographed the Rugby Business Network event at LinkedIn Headquarters in Dublin. The Rugby Business Network (RBN) is a not-for-profit organisation, set up to support the global rugby community through connecting business people with a passion for rugby. 

A variety of players and business professionals were in attendance including Leo Cullen, (below) and Wendy Murphy, HR director, LinkedIn EMEA, (above).

Organiser of the Rugby Business Network event Jill Barrett (bottom) said that as “The Rugby Business Network started as a group on LinkedIn, the company’s international headquarters in Dublin could not have been a more appropriate venue for our latest event."
