Editorial Portraits in Ireland
Earlier this year, I was commissioned by Boston College Magazine to photograph the gathering in Ireland, of a group of European based BC students. The Outpost weekend took place in Co Wicklow and provided a supportive residential environment where students from the college who were studying in Europe could meet and discuss their experiences of student life abroad. My thanks to the college magazine and also to the students and tutors who made me feel so welcome and whose cooperation allowed me to produce one of my favourite photo features of the year.

Business Portraits & Headshots
Producing a business headshot that captures the subject's personality and integrity is always an enjoyable challenge - especially when it happens on location and where time is limited. Here are just a few of the interesting people that I have had the pleasure of photographing over the past 12 months. My thanks to them and to the companies who commissioned the portraits.

Documentary Photography for DSI
I recently documented the final of TV3's Celebrity Apprentice for Down Syndrome Ireland. The task given to the two finalists Edele Lynch and Amanda Brunker, was to refurbish classrooms used by DSI for their Latch On programme.
Developed in conjunction with the University of Queensland, Latch On is a literacy programme designed to provide opportunities for adults with an intellectual disability to commence and continue their literacy development. It has been very successful to date in offering opportunities and life changing possibilities to people with Down Syndrome.
Congratulations to Edele, who won on behalf of LauraLynn, her chosen charity. However the work that both finalists and their teams did, meant that all of the Latch On students could count themselves as winners.
Below is just a flavour of the event.

Between Conferences!
Taking a breather between conferences in the CCD. Every time I am lucky enough to work here, I am always amazed by this building!

Coast - Sandycove, Co.Dublin
My personal projects have had to take a back seat of late due to time pressures. However after attending the launch of Met Eireann's report on the future of Ireland's climate, I was encouraged to make more time for my environmental project on Ireland's coast. This was photographed in Sandycove last week.

Business Portraits
I have been really lucky to work with some wonderful clients and it is always a delight, when someone that you enjoy working with, commissions more photography. I first worked with Mary T. Tierney, MD of Azurite consulting two years ago, to produce images for their website and print media. Recently, when Azurite were updating their corporate identity, Mary T. asked me to produce some new business portraits, which would aim to reflect the ethos of the company and her unique personality. Here are a few examples.
